2018 Catena Vista Flores Malbec # 7
2018 seems like a very good year for young and juicy reds, which is what the 2018 Catena Malbec is, a pure varietal that shows the typicity of the grape and the freshness of the year. It has the telltale aromas and the soft and velvety texture of the grape, with nicely integrated oak and a dry, long and pleasant finish. This has mind-boggling quality for the quantity—they produce 2.5 million bottles of it! One to buy by the case. Rating: 91+ Robert Parket
Santo Tomas 2019 ST Merlot #9
Aged in stainless steel so what you get out of the wines from this series is a bright fresh showcasing of the naked qualities of the fruit. There are plenty of big bold, highly extracted wines out there, so let this be the one you turn to when light bright zingy fruit is more apropos.

The palate is quite cohesive in flavors of roasted cherry and ripe strawberry, with fennel pollen, crushed slate and baking spice adding depth. 91 points on Wine Enthusiast.
El Enemigo Cabernet Franc 2016 #6
Smoky, charred aromas sit atop meaty, savory berry scents. Structurally speaking, this Cab Franc from a rain-plagued vintage is edgy and a bit lacking in the midpalate. Oak flavors combined with saucy berry and plum notes end with dry tannins and snap. 89 points on Wine Enthusiast.

Always a blend of white grapes but vastly dominated by Sauvignon Blanc, this wine takes you on a drive through orchards of tropical fruits, citrus blossoms, and an herb garden before leaving you lying on your back on a freshly cut lawn, smelling the fresh spring air in the light of the setting sun.
